Dear Choir,

SYF 2007 is coming in a few hours. Whether be it your 1st, 2nd,3rd,4th SYF, I am very sure that it is your first and probably last SYF with MJChoir.

Over the last few months, we have been through many ups and downs. The last few weeks especially have been very trying and also very taxing on everybody. Vocally, physically, mentally, emotionally, it has been one hell of a ride.

To the final 59:
You represent all the hopes of the entire meridian choir family. This is the last lap. Do not sell yourselves short. Give your 100% best and no one can take that away from you. Tomorrow the stage is yours. Command the attention of our audience, make the judges take notice. I know you’ve got it in you. =]

Tomorrow, make our songs come alive. We may not have actions to our songs, but just solely with our voices we are capable of illustrating 3 different moods and telling 3 different stories. Take the time tonight, to look through your scores, imagine how the story flows

To jolted your memory,

Song without words II
CELEBRATION!

Beati Quorum Via
Latin Text: Beati quorum via integra est,
qui ambulant in lege Domini.

English Translation: Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord.

Remember how the song transitions from one part to another.
As Mr. Kwei said, you are having conversation with God. You feel a sense of protection and serenity and you are thankful for what he has given you.

Yoru (night)
Ko Matsushita brings together two contrasting facets of the night – the comforting warmth a mother's embrace and the menacing darkness of the unknown – in this expressive and dramatic piece. The conflict finds resolution in a rousing chorus as dawn signals the beginning of a new day.

Yes I copied and pasted that from somewhere but it encapsulates the essence of the song.

************************************************************************************

Let the music come to you. We’ve come such a long way as a choir. Tomorrow is judgement day. Tomorrow we will know that it is all well worth it. Tomorrow the stage is ours. Tomorrow will go well.

WE ARE MJCHOIR
And WE MAKE THE MUSIC!
MJCHOIR JIAYOU!
